At a glance
Human Typer runs in your browser. The text and formatting you enter stay in the page until you choose to start writing to Google Docs. We do not operate an application server that receives or stores your draft. When you use Google features, your information is sent to Google as described below.
Information processed in your browser
The workspace handles the text, optional title, formatting choices, and Google Docs URL or document ID that you enter. It uses this information to show a preview and, when you start, to make the requested changes to the Google Doc you selected.
Your draft and Google access token are held in page memory, not saved by Human Typer to an account, database, or browser storage. The access token expires automatically and is cleared when you reload or close the page. If you download a text file, that file is saved by your browser to the location you choose.
Google Docs and Google Identity Services
If you connect Google, Google Identity Services handles the authorization flow. Human Typer requests the Google Docs scope, which allows access to your Google Docs. When you start a write, Human Typer sends the selected document ID and the text and formatting instructions needed for that write directly from your browser to the Google Docs API. The app may first retrieve the selected document to determine where to insert text. We do not receive these API requests or document contents on an app server.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy disclosures. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Terms of Service. You can revoke Human Typer’s Google access in your Google Account permissions.
Hosting and third parties
The site is delivered by its hosting provider. Like other web hosts and content delivery networks, the provider may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, and requested page to deliver and protect the site; that processing is governed by the provider’s policies. The page also loads Google Identity Services when you visit the workspace. Third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies.
Cookies, analytics, and retention
Human Typer does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers in the app. Google or the hosting provider may use their own technologies when you interact with their services. Human Typer does not retain your draft, document ID, or access token after your page session ends.
Your choices and questions
You can use the workspace without connecting Google, and you can clear a draft by closing or reloading the page. You control whether to authorize Google and which document to select. For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the Human Typer Discord.
